| Koh Tao, a sub-district of Koh Phangan 45 kilometres away, is comprised of two islands: Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan. Nearly the entire area is mountainous. The irregular bean-shaped Koh Tao features 1 1 bays full of natural beauty. Along its 28.6 kilometre shore stretches 8 kilometres of undisturbed coral reefs.
The island is famous for its rich sea coral reefs and inhabitants and secluded beaches set in a laid-back atmosphere. Ideal for snorkeling and diving, there are numerous diving schools scattered around the island that have always attracted diving students.
